Berwyn Slate is an ideal surface for kitchen worktops, bathroom vanity tops, table tops, bar tops and counter tops. As one of the hardest of the Welsh Slates, it is very hygienic, heat resistant and easy to keep clean.
Our Slate is unique among all the Welsh Slates in that we get natural subtle colour variations, sometimes fossils are evident under the surface of the slate, this makes each piece of Berwyn Slate unique due to the blueprint of nature.
Our Slate is quarried from our own quarry in Llangollen North Wales, we do the whole process in house from cutting the slate blocks from the quarry face to finishing your slate, with more than 15 years experience in making slate worktops. Click here for more info about us.
We can supply any type of sink or hob cut out, drainer grooves, sunken drainers, tap holes or shaping, every slate worktop is custom made for you.
The slate can be supplied in any shape or size (within reason), and thicknesses in solid slate 20mm, 30mm 40mm or thicker, the standard being 30mm.
We recommend using Lithofin impregnating filmless sealer which is applied when we fit the worktops.
